Meet Dr. Stephanie Turk
Optometrist in Houston
Stephanie K. Turk, O.D. is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and the Texas Optometry Board.
Dr. Turk graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She held leadership roles for the organizations of Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, and was the class president and teacher's assistant during her final year at school. During her studies, she completed externship programs specializing in the fields of glaucoma, ocular disease, and pre- and post-operative management of cataract and refractive surgery patients.
Dr. Turk is dedicated to the full scope of optometry by providing the best patient care through the use of advanced technology and clinical procedures. She is currently acting as a sub-investigator for a FDA pharmaceutical dry eye study. These studies allow the improvement of patient quality care through the development of new medicines. Dr. Turk is presently active in professional affiliations including the Texas Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
